Board of Director
Cedric P. Holmes, born to Iola and the late Rev. Cedric B. Holmes, is the Administrative Assistant at Union Baptist Temple in Bridgeton, NJ. When he is not at the church, you can find him behind a piano as quite the accomplished musician. He served as secretary for the Vineland High School Select Choir in 2015 and performed alongside them at the prominent Carnegie Hall in New York City and formerly played at the Claridge Hotel in Atlantic City. Cedric has dedicated his life to the children of South Jersey; on his 20th birthday he was appointed as the youngest member of the Vineland Board of Education.
Since his appointment, he has gone to great lengths to learn more about board procedure so he could make the best decisions for the students of Vineland. In addition to his service on the board, he gives piano lessons to many students and directs the choirs at Union Baptist Temple. In 2015, Cedric was honored as Big Brother of the year as a mentor in Big Brothers, Big Sisters. Currently, he visits the elementary schools of Vineland with Search for Conscience, a club at VHS, as part of a campaign against bullying.
